Practice Areas

Ed frequently represents real estate investors and entrepreneurs and serves as a “one stop shop” for all of their legal needs, handling their real estate transactions, business acquisitions and sales, contracts, leases, business matters, along with serving as their general counsel. As a real estate investor and entrepreneur himself, Ed uses his business acumen combined with his legal skillset and knowledge to obtain outstanding results for his clients. 
Ed is also a seasoned litigator and handles a variety of litigation matters for clients in both state and federal courts, including commercial, construction defect, breach of contract, negligence, environmental, landlord-tenant, real estate, title, and zoning appeals. Ed has also handled appeals in the appellate court of Connecticut and the Second Circuit.  Ed also formerly represented the chief of police, police department, and tax collector of the city of Hartford in various business and constitutional litigation matters. Ed combines zealous advocacy with a pragmatic approach to litigation strategy to achieve favorable outcomes that are cost-effective, whether the result is achieved through settlement, mediation, arbitration, or at trial.
